Downtown Toronto is busy this weekend with major events like hip-hop festival Rolling Loud and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Police have warned Toronto citizens to have more officers than usual to deal with road closures, delays, and crowds on the waterfront and entertainment districts.
Rolling Loud at Ontario Place from September 9-11. This means lanes on Lake Shore Boulevard will be reduced. His 3 lanes eastbound between British Columbia Road and Strachan Avenue will be closed and his 1 lane westbound will be closed.
TIFF is also being held in the King West area. Police have announced the following road closures for the festival.
- King Street West is closed to vehicles from York Street to Spadina Avenue
- Richmond Street closed from John Street to Widmer Street

In addition to Rolling Loud and TIFF, other upcoming concerts are also taking place at the Scotiabank Arena.
“Thousands of people attended events around the city and services expect increased activity in the evening and early morning hours at restaurants and nightclubs,” police said in a news release.
