In a social media post, Justin Bieber claimed that fashion retailer H&M used his face to sell a new collection of merchandise without his permission.
The collection includes items such as sweatshirts, canvas bags, and T-shirt dresses printed with Bieber’s face and lyrics.
“I didn’t approve the product collection they put on H&M..all without my permission and approval,” Bieber wrote in an Instagram post Monday night.
“The H&M product they made for me was garbage and I didn’t approve of it,” he said in a second post, telling fans not to buy it.
In a statement to CBC News, H&M said, “As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M has followed the appropriate approval procedures.
The item in question is not currently for sale in H&M’s Canadian online store.
Bieber previously partnered with Swedish fashion giant Purpose A tour product of 2017 and a follow-up collection released in the same year.
