A Deeply Haunting and Compelling Sequel

The end of the world is an incredibly scary concept. The fact that our very way of life could end in the blink of an eye is just haunting. Many of us would struggle if our way of life changed dramatically. Living without electricity, having to provide our own food and water is something we never dreamed of and a world that is simply appalling to be a part of. Equally, and perhaps most importantly, living in a society without laws that help keep it in place would be a hellish spectacle to live in. purge movie. It’s certainly a dark start to the review, but it’s very difficult to keep a bright tone when discussing the end of the world.

For decades, Hollywood has explored the concept of the apocalypse and how it affects the world, society, and those who unfortunately survived Armageddon. Virus epidemics, alien invasions, robot uprisings, natural disasters, we’ve seen countless doomsday movies. Some have a big effect, some don’t.It was his 2018 horror/thriller on Netflix that was sadly a little underwhelming bird box. Sure, it was a huge success, but that doesn’t make it a particularly great movie. The concept was charming and brutal, and the cast was great. Perhaps one of the most surprising and refreshing aspects of Bird Box: Barcelona It focuses on religious beliefs and how easily individuals can be manipulated by certain ideologies. In a creative moment in the film, the characters discuss what the creature is like. Use their fear, sorrow and pain against them.

Similarly, Georgina Campbell and Diego Calva are also on top. Campbell’s personality is confident and caring, and she always puts others first, even at the end of the world. Even though she’s a shining beacon of hope for humanity, she’s a villain, brilliantly played by Georgina Campbell. Diego Calva was great and had a small role, but Calva’s acting chops certainly make his character stand out from the rest.

Although you can’t see the monster, bird boxcan and definitely must see Bird Box: Barcelona when it comes to Netflix July 14th.
